Nikon D7000

Nikon’s successor to the successful D90 turned out to be a pretty amazing camera. From its fast 6fps shooting speed to its 39-point autofocus system, it’s pretty clear that the D7000 is way ahead of the expectations of most Nikonians. Standout features include dual SD card slots, a movie mode that Nikonians have been clamoring for and a brand-new metering system that actually measures light levels in the RGB color space. This metering system is the only one of its kind in any Nikon body and is much more accurate than the old-style metering systems. The D7000 will shoot 1080p full-Hi-Def video at 24 frames a second for that ‘filmic’ look, plus 720p Hi-Def at 24, 25 and 30 frames a second, making this the most capable HDSLR (High-definition Digital Single-Lens-Reflex) camera in Nikon’s lineup.
